First time in Ocean City, MD

Last weekend we were invited to Ocean City, MD by our neighbors Heather and Jimmy. We had so much fun playing on a real beach, eating yummy dinners and riding amusement rides for the very first time. Grayson took a little bit to warm to the rides but Avery enjoyed every minute of it. She was waving like Miss America as the carousel horse went around and around. She rode a fire truck all by herself turning the wheel and honking the horn. It melted my heart and made me realize how very quickly my little babies are growing. I couldn't believe she was doing that all by herself. She was by far the tiniest little peanut on the ride. Grayson's favorite ride was a boat ride with his sissy where he was able to turn the wheel and pull the bell! We had a great time with our friends and are so thankful they invited us for the weekend!

Avery loved the waves with daddy...once she got used to the cold water!

4th of July

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend together. We stayed home this year but that didn't slow us down. The night before the 4th we got a babysitter and went for a date night. We joined our neighborhood friends on a boat tie up in the river where we could see a great display of fireworks. We had a great time and it was so nice to enjoy time with my hubby and a few glasses of wine uninterrupted.

We spent the actual 4th down on our neighborhood beach. Avery and Grayson love it down there and we are so close to the house it makes it easy. We grilled an early dinner at the beach and then brought them up for a quick snooze in hopes that they would make it to see the fireworks. I wasn't sure how  Grayson would do as he gets finicky around loud noises. Kevin had the bright idea of putting his gun ear muffs on him. I didn't think Grayson would leave them on but sure enough he kept them on the whole time and after a few minutes he actually seemed to be okay with the fireworks!

What's more fun than playing in a tube on land. It was like a trampoline for toddlers!

Earmuffs worked!

On Saturday we went into downtown Annapolis and spent the day on Aunt Rosie and Uncle Shawn's boat. It was A & G's first time on a boat. They loved it! They didn't even seem to mind their life jackets.

Happy 4th Everyone!

White Lake, North Carolina

In late June we got a chance to spend the week in White Lake, NC at Kevin's granddaddy's lake house. We absolutely love going there because it is quiet, beautiful and full of memories. Kevin went there every summer growing up and has always hoped A & G would be able to do the same.

This year was a lot different from last year when they would spend most of the day sleeping in their bouncy seats by the lake. This year we got to have LOTS of fun playing in the water and running around the house. We had the best time with our Great Granddaddy, GiGi, Aunt Rosemarie, and our cousins Andrew, Jag, Stephanie, and Nicholas.

We can't wait to go back next year!

Most days we had lunch out on the pier in our stroller. We were having too much fun to go in and eat lunch.

We hung their johnny jump up from the pier and they bounced in and out of the water.

So much special time with my lil man

Daddy got to join us for the weekend!

Our favorite part of the day was watching the sun set from the end of the pier

Nana and Granddady came over from Raleigh for the day to see us!

Love, Love, Love these two pictures!

Just about everyday when I went for my morning run A&G would fall asleep.

SO excited!

Loving on mommy...love these times!

We found a pirate ship!

Rosemarie found out about an amazing event being held in Lumberton while we were there. It was the Vonta Leach Foundation Casino Night Silent Auction. There were over 20 NFL players present and lots of fun gambling and dancing. We dressed up for the occasion, left the babies with Gigi and headed out for a night of fun. I've never seen so many NFL players let alone met them.

Yes, this would be Jacobi Jones (). We were friends by the end of the night :)
