What We've Been Up To Lately

We've been super busy the last week and trying to soak in every bit of the nice weather we've finally gotten.

Last Tuesday was Kevin and I's anniversary. We spent it at a super yummy tapas restaurant without kids! We actually enjoyed each bite of our food and got a chance to talk about conversations outside of the babies. However, we kept finding ourselves talking about A & G. Go figure!
Leaving for our yummy dinner!

Sunday was Ellie's 4th birthday! Even though she's a dog she was our first baby so we always try and make it special for her. We took her to the SPCA dog walk at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis with her buddy Blu. Little did we know Lily, Molly, and Seth would be there too! She had so much fun walking around and seeing all the dogs and fun vendors. She got to pick out a new collar and have a special treat afterwards.

Happy 4th Birthday pretty girl!

The girls and babies at the SPCA walk!

The cherry blossoms have finally bloomed. We are a little delayed in getting the babies one year photos taken because we were waiting for the weather to warm up a tad so we could have them outside. They just so happened to be during the blossoms so we took advantage and headed down there. They enjoyed being outside in the warm weather. The blossoms are beautiful this year.

After the cherry blossoms we got to have lunch with daddy at Pot Belly's...Yummm!

And how cute are these precious little toes in flip flops and jellies! I can't believe jellies have come back in.

It was so warm we got to bring out our water table finally. Avery even kept her little hat on for most of the time. I used to hate that there was so much shade in our backyard but now I see the up side in it...

There's nothing cuter than naked babies in the summer time!

Easter Weekend in North Carolina

We FINALLY made a trip down south to visit all of the grandparents over Easter weekend. We had not been to North Carolina since Thanksgiving! That is a really long time for us but the babies have certainly changed the frequency of our NC trips. It's just not quite as easy to pack up and go for the weekend as it used to be! However, we're so glad we did because we had a great time visiting family and friends and celebrating Easter with everyone. We stayed in Winston with Kevin's dad and step mom, Karen. We go to spend time with Kevin's mom as well as my parents who came over for the day on Saturday to see their grand babies. We ate lots of yummy North Carolina food...oh how we miss it! We even made it to one of Kevin's best friends, son's dirt bike races. We weren't sure if we should take A&G but in the end we did and boy did they love all of the noises, people and excitement.
We got to sit on our cousin Lucas' cool new motorcycle.

We also learned how to play Nana's piano.

Mommy loves that we play together so nicely...most of the time

We loved standing at Nana and Poppy's front door watching the birds and squirrels.

Sunday we packed up and headed to Lake Ewharrie, NC where Kevin's Aunt Anita lives. We went to church, had brunch, and spent a little time at her house before we hit the road to head back home. We were incredibly sad the weekend was over so quickly but thankful to all those we got to see. Every time I go back to North Carolina I miss it more and want to move back even more. But for now we'll just have to fit our visits in as often as we can. There's nothing sweeter than seeing your babies spend quality time with their grandparents!

Avery and Grayson were spoiled by each of their grandparents for Easter...oh I mean the Easter bunny!

Grayson LOVES his new drum. Although he snatched the stick from Avery's Xylophone right out of her hand so he could bang on his drum with it.

Love my family (Lake Ewharrie, NC)

Poppy and his grand babies

I mean how cute are these two?!?! The adorable suit is compliments of Colson Crawford. I don't know what we'd do without some of the cutest boy clothes EVER passed down from Anna and Colson.

Loving life and Easter!!!

Already a Daddy's girl despite my best efforts to make her a Mama's girl

I couldn't love these three more!!!

On The Move!

Watch out world...our little beans are surely on the move! Avery has decided over the last month plus to put her little skills together and follow her brother crawling. She started out only take a few crawling steps at a time but she has since learned she can get anywhere she wants. She loves to follow her brother around and LOVES to go straight for Ellie's water and food just like her brother. I really have to be careful now and keep an eye on these two. They are certainly keeping me on my toes these days.

Avery practicing her crawling and pulling up

Grayson has a new love for his walker and literally just went for it one day and took off! I couldn't believe how fast he was from the get go. He even knows how to turn it where ever he gets stuck and wants to go. This little boy is on a mission these days. It's a matter of days before he realizes he can do this without the walker.

Snow Day-Finally!

Today was a surprise snow day for us. I got the chance to work from home but not before we took the babies out for a quick early morning sleigh ride before daddy left for work. They absolutely loved the snow. It was still coming down on them while we were out there. I think we got about 2 inches! Daddy took them all over the backyard on the sled. They were oohing and ahhing the whole time. I was pretty amazed at their ability to stay on the sled…for the most part. They crawled around in it for a bit and watched the doggies next door prance around in the snow. Our little rugrats are so much fun these days. It really is neat to watch them experience new things and watch how they take it all in.

First Easter Egg Hunt

Last Saturday we took the babies and met up with some friends at an Easter Egg Hunt. We met Chase, Melissa and Mckenna as well as Jess and her kids, Savannah, Christopher and Landon. The babies didn’t exactly partake in the hunt but they did end up with a few eggs thanks to McKenna. It was quite cold so we didn’t stay too long but it was neat to see how much fun the babies were having playing with the eggs and seeing all the people. I'm hoping to find another little Easter Egg Hunt for them next weekend while we are in North Carolina. We absolutely cannot wait to celebrate Easter with our family this year with a trip to North Carolina.

Best Friends Reunited!

Over Saint Patrick’s Day we had some extra special visitors. Anna and Colson came from Charlotte and Claire came from Wilmington. We were so excited to have them and spend the weekend with some of our favorites. Friday when they got here we took the babies down to the beach to see the water and play around a little. Then it was ladies night out. Saturday we took a trip to the mall with all 3 babies in tow for a little pampering and girl time. Saturday night we grilled out and enjoyed a night in with some wine. Sunday was here before we knew it and it was time for them to all head home. We were SO sad to see them go. But we sure are thankful they took the time to make the long trip and spend such a fun weekend with us! We can't wait until this summer!
