We FINALLY made a trip down south to visit all of the grandparents over Easter weekend. We had not been to North Carolina since Thanksgiving! That is a really long time for us but the babies have certainly changed the frequency of our NC trips. It's just not quite as easy to pack up and go for the weekend as it used to be! However, we're so glad we did because we had a great time visiting family and friends and celebrating Easter with everyone. We stayed in Winston with Kevin's dad and step mom, Karen. We go to spend time with Kevin's mom as well as my parents who came over for the day on Saturday to see their grand babies. We ate lots of yummy North Carolina food...oh how we miss it! We even made it to one of Kevin's best friends, son's dirt bike races. We weren't sure if we should take A&G but in the end we did and boy did they love all of the noises, people and excitement.
We got to sit on our cousin Lucas' cool new motorcycle.
We also learned how to play Nana's piano.
Mommy loves that we play together so nicely...most of the time
We loved standing at Nana and Poppy's front door watching the birds and squirrels.
Sunday we packed up and headed to Lake Ewharrie, NC where Kevin's Aunt Anita lives. We went to church, had brunch, and spent a little time at her house before we hit the road to head back home. We were incredibly sad the weekend was over so quickly but thankful to all those we got to see. Every time I go back to North Carolina I miss it more and want to move back even more. But for now we'll just have to fit our visits in as often as we can. There's nothing sweeter than seeing your babies spend quality time with their grandparents!
Avery and Grayson were spoiled by each of their grandparents for Easter...oh I mean the Easter bunny!
Grayson LOVES his new drum. Although he snatched the stick from Avery's Xylophone right out of her hand so he could bang on his drum with it.
Love my family (Lake Ewharrie, NC)
Poppy and his grand babies
I mean how cute are these two?!?! The adorable suit is compliments of Colson Crawford. I don't know what we'd do without some of the cutest boy clothes EVER passed down from Anna and Colson.
Loving life and Easter!!!
Already a Daddy's girl despite my best efforts to make her a Mama's girl
I couldn't love these three more!!!
Easter Sunday with Poppy and Nana
